Magogo's Khaya

It was the obvious next step to establish an After-Care Centre for St Francis College. At first, the school premises were used and then the opportunity arose to purchase a property opposite the Preparatory School for this purpose.

After extensive alterations, the children moved into an ideal location in February 2014 which was aptly named Magogo's Khaya.

Magogo's Khaya consists of a newly fitted kitchen, a dining room/playroom, two work rooms, an office, sick bay, storeroom and brand new ablution facilities along with a shady veranda and a grassed playground.

Only children from St Francis College are considered for admission to this facility. They are under the expert supervision of Mrs Janeke and Mrs Gcanga, who not only prepare the lunches and snacks, but also supervise the homework and afternoon play time.

Magogo's Khaya closes at 17:30 and is open during the April, July and September school holidays. The facility closes for a month over the Christmas period. There is an additional charge for After-Care.
